The figurative mastery of Malcolm T Liepke, who achieved so much in discovering the diversity of human expressions, had great influence on my painting.
In short, my intention was to come up with both a study and reinterpretation of his subject matter and work and express my sympathy with it.
For a long time I have appreciated his depictions of the romantic and erotic moments of human life, as rare as valuable they are. Therefore, I can consider my painting as a kind of reinterpretation, establishing my own figurative ideas using such expressions that appear so often in the works of Liepke, namely the intensive and, at a high level, expressive facial expressions or his attitude to portraits as he notices and displays the minute possible changes of human expressions painting the same person multiple times in the same posture.
