When the urge rises within us to respond to what has ceased to be what it once was, we understand that change does not rest, and that what transforms… will keep slipping into another form.
It is an effort that, at the very least, keeps boredom at bay.
Two twin attempts, launched in different directions:
one closer, the other further from death.
That impulse is born from the earth itself — it resembles what was left behind, or perhaps one’s own intimate ground.
But in the search for new soil, a different climate, it too is altered. It shifts, it seeks another tone — more personal, more singular.
From my inner axis, I read the world left to right.
This is also how I interpret the work of these tireless figures.
Yet the landscape that surrounds them is, at first, a vast desert.
True metamorphosis only blooms when we feel the threat as a living touch upon the skin.
And within that shared fabric, in that heartbeat
bound to a greater fate,
a luminous crack opens:
the possibility of altering the course of the environment,
which today seems so stalled, so unmoving.
